About the Society

NERIM Educational Society is a non government organisation, registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860.  The prime objective of  the society is to engage in various social activities such as (A) Academic Activities (B) Human Resource Development and Training  (C) Rural Development Activities (D) Other Activities relating to non profit social services for Rural Health, Hygienic, Sanitation, Drinking Water, Protection of Environment and Creating of Awareness among  Common People of various health related issues. 

Established in the year 1992, headquartered at Parukutty Bhawan Complex, situated at Nabin Nagar, a prime locality of Guwahati City, the  Society started its regular academic activity by setting up North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM), a Post Graduate College of Management and Computer Education  in Guwahati under affiliation of Dibrugarh University to conduct MBA and MCA Programmes approved by All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India.  NERIM is governed by a Governing Body constituted with the representatives of Government of Assam, Dibrugarh University a and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.  The Society is also running a district level rural computer training institute called Mangaldoi District Rural Computer Centre (MDRCC) set up in collaboration with Nabajyoti Gramya Unnayan Parisad, Darrang. 

NERIM Educational Society is committed to help the people today for the growth of community tomorrow in an endeavour to all round development of the society.
